Aims & Scope

The Edinburgh Student Law Review (ESLR) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to fostering scholarly discourse and advancing legal knowledge within the student community. Established in 2009, the ESLR has served as a platform for undergraduate and postgraduate students to engage with contemporary legal issues, contribute original research, and showcase their academic works.

The ESLR welcomes submissions from students across various legal disciplines. The ESLR provides a forum where emerging legal scholars can explore diverse perspectives, challenge existing norms, and address pressing legal concerns.

We prioritise articles that demonstrate rigorous research, critical analysis, and innovative thinking. Whether exploring theoretical debates or examining practical implications, ESLR encourages contributions that contribute to the advancement of legal scholarship and promote intellectual dialogue.
