Innovations in Linguistics Education was published by the Indiana University Linguistics Club from 1979 to 1990 under editor Daniel Dinnsen as a forum for linguists to exchange ideas and materials on linguistics courses (Volumes 1-5). It was re-published in 2017 by editor Ann Bunger, and re-launched in 2025 by Itamar Kastner and Rory Turnbull with a renewed international focus (Volume 6 starting in 2026). Recent developments in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, and the expansion of the field of linguistics as a whole, have led to a variety of educational and pedagogical innovations across the globe in a variety of contexts.
