Abstract

This article looks at the role of Community Educators in supporting people learning about and participation in the Scottish Independence Referendum in September 2014. It reviews the involvement of Community Educators in the campaign for a Devolved Scottish parliament in 1997 and then presents an argument for why Community Educators should see involvement in the referendum as part of the their core work and professional purpose.
